I met Simon years ago and supported him in his efforts within Europe with a couple of donations( as then President of the National Chopper Club). He supported my wife and I when we had a motorcyle accident in Belgium in 1994, and were extrememly grateful for his help at that time. He will be greatly missed and our sympathies are with his family.

Deepest, deepest condolences to Simon's friends and family. I remember him from many, many years ago, and he was such a nice guy.

So unfair.

To the family of Simon,
I met him briefly a few months ago as he was biking through Kampala, Uganda. He struck me and my sister as a Christian of action. And not just ordinary action, but bold and revolutionary action, on a mission that really excited him and helped so many people. Not only was he blessing on the people he sought to assist, but he was a blessing on us: just innocent bystanders of his Christian love. He really knew the difference between truth and "rubbish" and had no difficulty in speaking it. I enjoyed keeping up with his travels and am deeply saddened by his loss to the world. He is not, however, lost to God and of that I am certain. I don't think it much of a stretch to say that a good part of the earth is praying for him and his family. And now, I offer my own prayers and blessings for you.

Simon,

From the moment our roads crossed until your last breath, I have always been amazed and touched by your authenticity and generosity towards the others… A person with an enormous faith and deep sense of humanity.

Full of energy and passion, you managed to translate your ideals and dreams into real great things, for riders through FEM/FEMA and MAG, for wider humanitarian causes through your 'Milward's Millennium Ride' around the world… And for all the people who had the privilege to know you, through your genuine kindness and altruism, and this special spark that is lighting up the thoughts and memories we have for you.

I had the privilege and joy to know you as a very close friend and as a colleague, You will remain alive in my heart, as a very special person I deeply and sincerely love.

My thoughts go to your family, your mother and brothers, and to all your friends.

My family would also like to offer their sincere condolences. They remember of Simon as a kind-hearted and enthusiastic person.

Christina xxx

Having met Simon only recently in Uganda it was a shock to all of us to hear of his passing - he inspired and excited the kids in the International schools in Kampala as he shared his journey - around the world, and also in the spiritual dimension. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends
