I had to hear the news several times to believe it, even now it hasn't quite sunk in, my deepest condolences to all family and friends.
Simon brought such energy and vigour to everything he did, he treated everyone with equal respect and I always enjoyed meeting him on various outings. He was a great bloke, a good friend and will be missed by many.
His memory will remain all over the world, with all the friends he made, with all the people he helped.

I met Simon briefly; while on his way down the Alaska highway he came to lecture at the library. We quaffed some homebrew at my place. I've enjoyed his travel reports and his spirit, I'm greatly saddened by his death. Humanity could use more people like him.

SIMON
We meet the first time in Faro Rally in 91, and we became friends since that moment; just because it was very very easy became a SIMON's friend. And YOU have a lot of friends in this small country.
I will never forget YOU and I will be allways with YOU.

I met Simon years ago and supported him in his efforts within Europe with a couple of donations( as then President of the National Chopper Club). He supported my wife and I when we had a motorcyle accident in Belgium in 1994, and were extrememly grateful for his help at that time. He will be greatly missed and our sympathies are with his family.

Deepest, deepest condolences to Simon's friends and family. I remember him from many, many years ago, and he was such a nice guy.
So unfair.
