I went to the celebration of Simon's life, and came away with a sense of awe. His family's strength gave me hope for the future, and if there is a God, then Simon is fighting for his rights. Although I never met him I feel that I can call him a friend.
Rest in Peace Simon, you will be sadly missed.

Never met Simon, only heard about his death through the media and just wanted to express my sincere thanks for his work and extend my condolences to his friends and family.

It's rare that I meet someone for the first time and immediately feel like they are my friend! I met Simon Milward at his excellent World travel slide presentation a couple of years ago at Honda Homecoming in Marysville, Ohio (Logan County Fairgrounds). He was outbound to the Western states and then to the Southern Americas as he bubbled with enthusiasm recalling his trip up to that point. He exuded a simple, genuine love of motorcycling and a keen interest in helping others. Most evident though was his passion for life. I would love to have met him again.

We had some awesome times together.
You were the last person I ever rode on the back of. I never found the courage to go pillion again. Inspired rider, scary as hell though!
Have good fun reorganising Heaven Simon! :-)

My wife and I had the pleaseure of meeting Simon at the AMA Congress in Columbus Ohio and met him again at the Dallas Bike Show. We finally convinced him to come and stay with us for a while because it was during Christmas. He did and we took him to my sisters for the holidays. Simon was such a good hearted person and it will always stick with us at how great he was. He will leave a great impression on our hearts. Simon will will certainly miss you.

We will never forget having Simon stay in our house for a few days before taking off for Mexico. We enjoyed dinner at an Italian restaurant, took in Tucson's Meet Yourself Festival, and enjoyed his company as we tried to show him what our city offered. We all enjoyed Simon's company (even our basset hound who I think spent a few hours each night with Simon on his cot). Simon's mission was one that benefits everybody around the world. Thank you.
