I´ve just heard.......right from the first time we met at school, it was obvious you were something special, and would do something in your life for the good of others. Why did that life have to be so short.
Farewell friend.
Our thoughts are with your parents, and your brothers, Mark and Shane.

Simon was generous enough to change his planned route to grace our efforts at ending the ridiculuous and deadly tollway ban on motorcycles here in the Philippines. In the short time that he stayed with us, Simon filled us all with admiration and awe, despite his very unassuming nature.
There are many in this nation's motorcycling community who view this as a personal loss.
Godspeed, dear comrade and friend.

I met Simon at our Local 1 ABATE meeting where he gave a presentation of some of his journey.
He wanted to visit the famous Rock Store and hoped to meet Jay Leno (Tonight Show)there. So one Sunday he rode to my home and my son and another ABATE member came by and we were going to enjoy a ride to the Rock Store.
Well! Guess where Simon's motorcycle broke down? In my drive way. We tried fix it but the alternator had burned out.
So, we ordered a pizza and had a few beers instead.
Simon we will miss you. I looked forward to receiving the email updates from his journey.
Ride free Simon.

One of thye trueest and most genuine bikers i ever met has started his last ride. Besides from beeing a warm hearted and very socialy moved person, Simon has also been one of the fierced fighters of riders rights in Europe. He has done more for European biking than most people will ever know and i sincerely hope that he will be well rewarded for his endless efforts. Ride that golden bike through the skies my friend, forever free !

Gonna miss hearing the "Can you send me a..." on the phone. Quite and adventurer, and a sad way to go out.
