I met Simon only once, but like so many others I was moved by the man and inspired by his mission. He was riding my dream ride for me, which I would never be able to do myself, pursuing a personal adventure but also giving back profound value to the world in the process, the most inspired form of travel. I have never before been brought to such grief and sense of lose by the death of someone so seemingly distant from my life: But Simon gifted us his journey, letting us make it our own, bringing his spirit into our lives, erasing that distance. His death takes apersonal piece of each of us. God rest our souls. Thank you Simon. You live on in my heart, always.

Merci pour tout ce que tu as fait, pour la moto mais aussi pour l'aide humanitaire.

I've been hesitating about writing this message because I didn't want to finally admit that Simon's adventure was over.
He was a really good friend and I've really missed him over the last five or so years. I was so looking forward to his return.
My, our, only consolation is that he was a man who lived his dreams. So many of us rarely get beyond the dreaming of them.
Simon was a very rare and special person. Totally committed and really concerned, a man whose considerable intellect was in balance with deep and true emotions. Everything he did he did to the full.
It was a priviledge to know Simon, to be his friend. My hope is that his Mum Jane and his family will be supported by their faith as I know Si was by his.
Thanks Mate.

I really didnt have the chance to know simon very well, my friend and I met simon in tanzania summitting mt. kilimanjaro.Simon was v. friendly talks to everybody and gives advice to other trekers we bump into on the way down the mountain. Simon never runs out of stories to tell and seems to be very passionate in everything he does.Im deeply saddened to hear about the unfortunate event and may his soul rest in peace .Condolences to his family
