It wasn't supposed to end like this! You were going to come back, we were going to go to the Double Locks, We were going to carry on were we left off.
You finished this chapter and moved onto your next one way too soon. I'll just have to wait a little bit longer to buy you that drink.

Ride Free Simon.

Myself, Jonathan, Oliver and Boe are deeply upset at this news.

One thing is for sure, people in Malawi will never forget you. We particularly remember your visit to Blantyre and how enthusiastic you were to share your journey with us all. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace, for you already had made a difference for health and bikes all over the world. Our sympathy goes to your family and friends.

Simon was my friend.

I first met him when he was starting up FEM and was involved in making sure rider's rights were being protected during the development of the EU regulations for type approval . Simon had a wonderful mix of talents. He fought hard but was always able to walk away with a smile. He argued against stupid ideas, but always respect the person. He was open to discussions from industry and government, but always fought for the rider.

Simon was a good man. His commitment to his personal causes could not be questioned. Throughout his travels he remained open to influence. He always looked for the best in people, but could see the bad. He was a teacher about a sport we all love and showed others that a good heart can be found under dirty clothes.

To his family and friends, you have my deepest regrets for your loss. Simon was loved my many, as this register shows, and will be remeber as a good man.

Dear Simon, may your journey take you to a place of peace, love and eternal happiness. Good bye my friend.

I only met you once at a MAG UK meeting but because of your enthusiasm I'm here in Ireland trying to do my bit for biking. You inspired so many people and the motorcycling world is so much poorer for your passing.Condolences to your family and many friends

Heard the news and am still trying to make sense of it. Simon was doing what so many of us only dream about and he will long remain in our hearts and thoughts. The motorcycle community has lost a true friend and ambassador.

Simon, you were a great inspiration - I'm not surprised to see how many people have said that about you. You were always cheerful and never discouraged by the spanners life tried to throw in your works. I was lucky to know you. Although you'd been away a long time, it's hard now to think you won't be coming back.

Nik
